This from Sonny Franks, AMERF’s VP:
This was on Scott Mecredy’s FB page this afternoon. I don’t have any details but I hope he’s OK.
Scott runs Music on Main Street here in Lilburn and is one of the most loving, altruistic people on the planet. He’s also our fundraiser host, so I’m not sure how that will be affected, but will let you know when I have more info.
Send some good vibes, because Scott is definitely one of the good guys….
“Hey Friends, I want to share some tough news. Due to a fairly serious illness and a spinal injury resulting from it, I have been sidelined in a big way.
I had emergency spine surgery Monday but I’m home now and on the mend. If we have plans together please be patient. If I’m hard to reach I apologize.
It will be weeks before I can ease back into basic life and no telling when I’ll be back at full speed. I’ll get through this though. I have Alicia on my side – and friends like you. MOMS concert schedule remains unchanged and I plan to play my show at Hemlockfest in November. I may be a lover, but I’m definitely gonna fight this!”
We are earnestly hoping for a speedy recovery for Scott. He and Music on Main Street are hosting our fundraiser on September 22nd, so watch our website for updates.
